So today started off great, and by great I mean that sincerly. The sea level rose about 3 ft over night, and that left a lot of our stuff vulnerable. The maps we had we left out to dry and ironically were destroyed in the mini flood. In a way I like not having a map. We only have 150 miles to go on the ohio so a few days shouldn't hurt us, plus we get enough info from our phones and locals that we'll be ready for what's ahead.
Today we got 25 miles, really good day. Very little conversation and a lot of time to day dream. Right now we're camped at a place called diamond island, it's got a sand beach and is comfortable as heck.
Tomorrow well hit mount Vernon and re supply, hopefully it's the last stop before Cairo.
