day 23: raccoons and truckers

Most of you know that I used to have a pet raccoon named Jeff doulnak.   But what a lot of you don't know is that a raccoon is invading our camp site as we speak.  Erik is in space writing his blog so I had to defend the last of my peanuts.  Of which to no prevail.  The raccoon is a jag, probably from Cleveland.

We got to mile 527.4 and are right outside of markland.

Today was wicked sweet.  I saw a boat plane takeoff and land 20 minutes later 100 ft from the boat.  I've never seen anything like it.  Also we got a lot of it on video along with some other sweet shots you'll see in a few months.

Monday, I forgot to tell you, I found an unopened 25oz bud light in the river.  When the river gives things like this you must take advantage.  This was similar to today when I dropped my granola in the ohio. I had to eat it, I had no choice, I'm still alive.
