day 50 and 51: 90 miles in 2 days

Wow, I am exhausted right now but am making time to write.  Right now in memphis we are.  Why you ask? Because the pirates are in the playoffs on a one game wild card match up against the hated giants and I wanted to watch it!

So we did what we could.  We woke up early, ate our Ramon noodles and peanut butter, packed a lunch, and headed off.

I can't believe how beautiful the Mississippi is becoming every day.  It gets better almost as we carry along in this journey.  Aside from coyote, bobcat, and bear tracks this part of the river, and I assume the rest of the river, is absolutely spectacular.   If you ever get the chance to see 10 miles of this place you will understand.  The inside stretch of the river is usually a humungous sand bar full of wild birds I've never seen or new existed.  The outside bank is usually a dense forest but is so full of energy and nature that it puts everything you've ever seen into question.

I live each day with optimism, a smile, and a hope that nature doesn't call while a 35 stack barge is closing in.  My biggest worries are behind me.  I've found ways to release past regrets and let the universe take care of them.  Whether it's the river, pure nature, or just having time to think, I feel like a more relaxed, confident, and in tuned person.  I hope this mindset translates to the fast paced city that I'm about to end up in in 3 weeks.

Right now I'm in memphis in air conditioning,  it's alright.  There was an awsome individual who opened his house up to us and us giving us a very comfortable place to stay.  People like this prove time and again that in every city there are more good than bad.  Also that the generosity in the world out weigh the greed.  The more we focus on helping one another through our thought s, actions, and vibrations, the better the world will become.  Take time in your day to recognize the good and appreciate the negative because it gives you the opportunity to learn.
